This is an illo I created a long time ago. I still love the concept though the execution is a little dated. One of these days I may get around to re-doing it.
Wow! You made me the happiest man. While viewing your picture, I forgot everything around and rejoiced over your cats. Your drawing not only looks perfectly but returns the smile to my eyes too. Thank you.
When people ask me what I do I usually reply with some variation of "graphic-artist-illustrator". Sometimes I just say illustrator (which gets the blank-what-is-that? look), sometimes I just say children's book illustrator (which gets the "oh i've written a book we should get together" response), and sometimes I just say graphic artist (which, let's face it, is a lot easier for loan officers, insurance managers and IRS officials to handle.) At any rate, thats what I do. Who I am is an artist. A few years ago I got to add on the monikers wife and mom and many many years before that I got to introduce myself as a graduate of Ringling School of Art and Design, but I've always been an artist and I've always been an illustrator because I love to tell stories.

Oh I think it's puuurfect! Seriously. . .the orange cat is so cute. Love the color palette and the fact that they are both on ground level.
Very nicely done! Looks like you've got the composition-to-express-an-idea down. I think it's beautifully executed.
Beautiful!
Poor kitties!!
Perfect for craving!!!
I like this very much, Mary. The softness, the emotion the colors... everything is perfect.
